We had a great four-night stay at Damara Village, booked through Hotels.com. Our apartment was spacious and clean, the pool was lovely, and the gym deserves a mention too. The whole complex is guarded around the clock. The staff made everything easy, from arranging laundry to sharing local tips. Thanks to the restaurant crew as well as everyone else for looking after us so well. We’d read comments about aggressive dogs nearby, but didn’t run into any trouble while walking or riding our scooter. Renting one through Bikago.com worked perfectly for us and made it easy to get around on our own.

The villa’s design and the calm feel of the space stood out right away, and it was spotless throughout our five days. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and really made sure we were comfortable. A couple of small things could be improved. The toilet area felt cramped, and there wasn’t a mirror near the bed or vanity, which made getting ready and doing makeup a bit difficult. Still, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return for the lovely setting and hospitality.

It feels safe here, and there are plenty of people around. At night, the sounds of nature helped me sleep incredibly deeply, even without blackout curtains. The staff are friendly, and someone is always available during the day if you need help.

The service at Damara Village was so good, and we felt looked after the whole time. It’s a lovely place to stay while exploring Ubud. We had a great visit and will be back.

I was here for team meetings. Great location, and I loved the design and the shower. The rooms aren’t soundproof, though, so I could hear people talking in another villa when they were loud.
