Angel House Ubud Eco Villa

We loved how peaceful and tucked away Angel House felt, even though the location was perfect. The rooms were spacious, beautiful, and clean. Claudia and I were made to feel so welcome by the hosts, who cooked breakfast fresh each morning and shared tips about the local area and places to visit. We can’t recommend staying here enough.

I had some great conversations with locals in the neighborhood’s restaurants and stores. Angel House is just outside Ubud, and I liked being somewhere without crowds filling the streets. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe both in the guest house and around the area. I stayed four nights and really appreciated how genuinely interested the owners and staff were. They took care of every concern. If you have the time, plan 3-4 nights and let them share their stories. You get to experience Ubud and Bali from a different perspective than mass tourism. In the end, it’s the people you meet and the places that touch you that stay with you. You can find that here :)

The pool is private, with a tropical garden around it, and breakfast is freshly made with local ingredients. There are lots of vegetarian choices. Ubud’s chaos is far enough away, though easy to reach with several transport options. We found plenty of places to eat within walking distance, and the supermarket and gym are less than a kilometer away. I first stayed here 12 months ago and came back a year later to enjoy Angel House’s hospitality and explore more of the area. The staff generously share their culture and language, and you can tell they genuinely care for everyone. Looking forward to our next stay.

Kadek’s delicious breakfast, warm smile, and kind hospitality made such a difference. Just seeing him lifts your mood. The owner, Anjel, made me feel at home, like part of the family instead of a guest. She shared an audiobook, offered a few helpful tips, and showed me a fascinating book about Indonesia’s history. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Ubud. I spent a couple of days at Angel House and absolutely loved it, the name makes sense. My room was spacious, clean, and cozy. There were beautiful plants all around, and the lounge where breakfast is served felt cozy too, with shelves of books and art.
