There are quite a few steps up from the road, with no elevator. They could be slippery in the rain, so anyone with mobility issues should probably avoid the place. The staff were helpful, though, carrying our big suitcases from the roadside all the way to our room. Our room was awesome and very spacious. With so few rooms in the resort, the pool felt almost private. The staff were friendly, breakfast was served in the morning and tea in the afternoon. The resort sits among lush greenery, so you can enjoy nature with all the comforts.

Check the entrance and accessibility as well as the interiors and ratings before booking. With those very steep steps, this place isn't suitable for senior citizens, families with small children, or anyone with mobility concerns. During Bali's heavy rains, the steps get slippery and unsafe. I felt very uncomfortable and worried about falling, and I'm glad I didn't stay, because safety matters more than the views. I booked Cloud 9 Estate for 4 nights at ₹32,000 but couldn't stay there. After several requests, management refunded ₹11,500, leaving me out around ₹20,000. The property may be highly rated, but I couldn't risk those stairs. We also tried getting help from MakeMyTrip, but there has been no support to date. They kept saying they needed to contact their supplier, and without Indian phone connectivity it was nearly impossible to follow up during our trip.

The jungle views and service are wonderful, and I love the look of the place. Whenever I come to Ubud, I regularly stay at Cloud Nine Estate. It’s the best spot for me, and I highly recommend it.

The staff at Cloud Nine Estate made everything feel easy, from the in-villa breakfast to the personal attention. I felt at home the whole time, and the peaceful setting was a big part of that. The villa has a lovely mix of modern style and traditional Balinese touches, with lush gardens and an infinity pool facing the jungle. Waking up to nature sounds and wide sunrise views was a dream. Set in Bali’s hills, it felt like a luxurious, serene escape. I can’t wait to come back.

We left feeling completely rested after four days, which somehow felt like weeks. The forest setting was beautiful and almost magical, and we felt we were somewhere special and sacred. We’d come from Australia exhausted by busy work and home lives, but relaxed as soon as we arrived. Breakfast was made to order rather than a wasteful buffet, then brought by a butler to our balcony. We loved the comfortable beds, quality linens and pillows, the pool’s just-right size, and all the thoughtful touches. Each afternoon there was complimentary tea, too. Some nights we went out; other times we ordered Grab and ate on the balcony in our PJs, looking over the forest. We loved staying here and will be back soon.
