It feels like home here. The family is wonderful, the rooms are roomy and clean, and there's a lovely pool. Even with all the activity in central Ubud nearby, the place is peaceful once you're inside. It's also easy to walk to just about everything, and you can rent a scooter here. The staff were so warm and helpful the whole time, and breakfast, though simple, comes with the stay. Our top-floor room was spacious and quiet, with a nice view. It's just a short walk to the center of Ubud, and the price felt very good for what we got. The pool is relaxing and pretty, though it could use a bit more upkeep.

Good for friends, maybe, since there are lots of restaurants and food choices nearby and it's easy to walk around. But I wouldn't recommend it for a family with kids. The curtains had mold, the lights were much too dim, and there was no soap at the sink or in the bathroom. The dispenser had a tiny dead cockroach coming out with the soap, so I wasn't even sure the soap was okay to use. One morning we left early for a tour and skipped breakfast. When I asked for a single glass of hot milk at 11, they said breakfast hours were over. That felt rude.

The peaceful setting in central Ubud and the friendly staff made this a pleasant four-night stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was big, and breakfast on the balcony was great. Banana pancakes were especially good, though the coffee was dreadful, so stick with tea. The pool itself was nice, but the area wasn't cleaned much: an empty beer bottle was there from our first night until we left. Room cleaning also missed things, like emptying the bin, replacing water, and refilling soap or shower gel. Wi-Fi was weak, and we never got a hot shower. Laundry service, on the other hand, was very good. We rented a cheap motorbike for 80k a day, though it was old and struggled uphill, maybe from all those pancakes 😆. Still a strong recommendation, even with those annoyances keeping it at four stars.
