It’s a short 15-minute drive from the centre of Ubud, and you can easily order a Gojek or hire a scooter. What really made our stay was the manager and staff, who were warm, friendly and attentive, with everything done to a very high standard. We loved having food delivered straight to our villa and getting relaxing massages by the pool in the privacy of our villa.

The quiet part of Ubud this place sits in feels mostly untouched by large-scale tourism, and the area is beautiful. I stayed in the one-person villa, which had plenty of space and a lovely private area. Because there aren't many guests, the staff can give you really personal attention. They were some of the warmest, friendliest people I've met, almost like they were welcoming me into their home. Incredible experience. I'd give the service six stars if I could.

The gardens and pool are fantastic, kept to a high standard, and outside it's so quiet you mostly hear the animals. The rooms are a good size, the beds are very comfortable and the air conditioning works well, but most areas need a deep clean and some updating. The open bathroom roofs look lovely, though they meant getting bitten when we had to use the bathroom at night. In the kitchen villa, we could have used comfortable chairs and a TV for unwinding after a long day. The staff are lovely and attentive, though we found them a little overbearing at times. The villa's driver was expensive, so we found our own. He was very informative and helped us plan, which wasn't easy with three generations in our family. The drive into Ubud takes 20-40 minutes depending on the time of day, which was fine for us. We loved the town, its food and markets, and the location also works well for Bali zoo and similar outings.

For a quiet stay away from the bustle of Ubud town, this villa is a nice choice, while still being a short drive from the central attractions. The Joglo-style buildings have an authentic Balinese design, surrounded by lush gardens and bamboo forest. Each villa has its own pool, and the staff are warm and attentive, often doing extra to meet guests' needs.
