Sandat Glamping Tents

We spent three of our week in Bali at Sandat Glamping at the end of August 2024, and leaving was so sad I almost cried. The resort has such a special, peaceful beauty. The Italian owners have a real eye for design, using salvaged things to create distinctive decor. That care shows in the rooms and restaurant, right down to the plates. The staff were friendly, and we loved breakfast. We had two dinners, one Italian and very good, the other Indonesian and also great. We skipped renting a car because the traffic is chaotic and parking is a nightmare. Instead, we used taxis and hired a driver for day trips. We also took the yoga classes, which cost extra. The studio looks out over a rice field and was incredibly beautiful. We had excursions planned, so barely got time at the pool or to enjoy the lovely places for sitting, reading, or just thinking. I wish we’d stayed in and decompressed from the flight instead of exploring Bali so much. We’d come back, and next time stay at least 4-5 nights to relax properly. I highly recommend it.

Our family spent four nights in one of the property’s Lumbungs, and it felt like a little piece of paradise. The decor and setting were perfect, with attention to every last detail. We were surrounded by rice fields, yet lively Ubud was only a 15-minute drive away. The complimentary shuttle to town was extremely convenient. The staff were attentive and helpful, and their service was excellent. Thank you, Sandat team, for making our stay so special.

The whole place has such a good vibe, from the people to the surroundings. It feels almost mystical to be so connected with nature, sleeping and waking to jungle sounds and breathing really fresh air, while still feeling cosy, protected, and very comfortable in the glamping. And the breakfast is delicious!!!

We’ve traveled for a long time, and the owner and staff at Sandat were some of the kindest and most helpful we’ve met. The food was delicious, especially breakfast, where we ended up lingering because we didn’t want it to finish. The setting between jungle and rice fields is wonderful. It’s furnished like a five-star hotel, with local touches and lovely unique details. Ubud is about 20 minutes away by car, and there’s a free shuttle. We’ve just left and already miss the place.
