The rice fields around the place are gorgeous, and the pool was lovely for relaxing. The staff were really helpful and lovely. I came for two nights, then added five more, for seven in total. You can walk to the raw temple, pyramids of chi, unified school of healing, and plenty of other places, or get around by scooter. Food can be delivered here too.

I was traveling on my own, and the rice paddies were amazing to stay among. I walked through them every day. Galang Hari Villa felt private and quiet, but Ubud's hub was still a short scooter ride away. I felt safe and welcomed, and the team went out of their way to meet my needs. The pool was wonderful, breakfast was always really good, and I had lots of conversations. I'll definitely come back.

At check-out, they told me I had to leave because they'd received a last-minute booking, even though I'd told them I wanted to extend and they'd said okay. I checked online and couldn't find a booking, so I'm not sure why they did that. I'd stayed a week and have never left a review before, let alone a bad one. I also believe money was taken from my bag.

It's set among rice fields away from central Ubud's hustle, and I keep coming back. This is my favourite place to stay in Ubud, and I've been three times. The rooms are lovely and spacious, the pool is beautiful, and the staff are super helpful and lovely. If you're confident on a scooter, you'll be fine. If not, the staff can take you with your bags on a scooter to a place where you can get a car. Highly recommend.
