The Samaya Ubud Bali

The staff surprised me with a birthday treat when our checkout date happened to fall on my birthday. Such a lovely touch. Our package also included a couples massage, and the therapists were amazing. We had a show at dinner on our last night, which was a lovely way to end the trip. My husband and I stayed five nights and had a great time. The villa room was clean and roomy enough for us. The staff were warm, attentive and welcoming, and we enjoyed all the different food in our package. We may even have put on weight! Thank you, Samaya Ubud team. We’ll come back.

The service here is among the best I’ve experienced in Bali, even compared with Michelin resorts. Everyone was energetic, smiling and genuinely caring toward guests. With a little cosmetic attention to some of the villas, this could be a Michelin recognized resort. I’m currently staying at The Samaya Ubud and it’s spectacular. The resort is beautifully designed, with lush, well-kept grounds beside the Ayung river. Dining by the river is especially beautiful. The food is top-notch, with quality ingredients and creative presentation.

Komang at the restaurant gave us warm, attentive service every day, and Made at the spa made our treatment so relaxing and professional. They both added a personal touch to the trip. The complimentary shuttle to Ubud’s main street also made getting around easy. We spent four nights at The Samaya Ubud in a one-bedroom villa and were impressed throughout. It was spotless, and the whole property felt carefully looked after and well presented. We enjoyed the dining, beautiful facilities and private pool, which was perfect for unwinding. We’d gladly return.

The complimentary morning culture walk and shuttle into Ubud were much appreciated. We also loved the spa, which was pure bliss. I’d strongly recommend booking a treatment. We had five blissful nights at The Samaya Ubud. Our villa was clean and spacious, with a private pool and a lovely little bungalow overlooking the river. The food at both Scene and Swept Away was wonderful. The staff were some of the friendliest and most accommodating people we’ve met. We can’t thank them enough for making the stay so relaxing and enjoyable.
