Uma Dana Ubud

The views are lovely, and the price is quite reasonable. Breakfast was good, and the hotel also offers laundry and ironing. I had a great time at Uma Dana during my stay in June this year. The staff were very accommodating, and the service was brilliant. Special thanks to Naati for the warm welcome, hospitality, and wonderful service. Highly recommend!

The jungle setting and quiet atmosphere made this a lovely break from the everyday rush, and I really enjoyed the well-kept garden. It was easy to explore Ubud because I could rent a motorbike, and there was plenty of parking too. The pool was a great place to unwind. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful with requests. My room was spotless and kept free of insects, and the air conditioning kept it comfortable for sleeping. Hotel Uma Mandi exceeded my expectations, and I'd recommend it for a peaceful stay in Ubud.

The staff were really friendly and even helped us get laundry done when the local laundry place was closed. We liked relaxing by the small pool, and breakfast at Tropical Ants restaurant across from the place was pleasant, though guests have only a limited choice. A few cafes and restaurants are about a four-minute walk away, but they mostly serve the same menu. It's quiet outside the main Ubud bustle, so it may suit you if that's what you want. Getting to main Ubud from here wouldn't be convenient. We stayed as part of a yoga package, and this place was chosen for us. The room itself is very basic and dated. There's no hair dryer or phone for calling reception. The bathroom is spacious, but you have to shower in the bathtub and bend down to wash, which wasn't comfortable. Water runs out onto the floor afterward, and a shower curtain would help. There's a gap in the bathroom window and an open vent in the front door, so bring insect repellent. I gave it three stars because I expected less basic facilities.

I was here for around two weeks. The room was spacious for the price, including a fairly big bathroom, and the view was good. The place sits between the central and local areas, with a good cafe, Tropical Ants, right in front. Staff were friendly and helpful, though there isn't 24-hour service or anyone staying overnight. The water shut off a few times, especially around midnight. I'd read reviews about booking issues too. I booked through Traveloka and was put in a different room type, but they did manage to move me after a few days.
