The person who welcomed us and runs the place was generally nice and helpful. When the water stopped completely once, he came over pretty quickly to fix it. Still, for the price, I think there are much nicer places around Ubud with better cleanliness and overall condition. Don't let the pretty pictures catfish you. The villa looks great in photos, but up close it needs a lot of maintenance and seems not to have been cared for in a long time. Water pressure was extremely low and irregular. There was lots of black mold around the bathroom walls, and I don't think anyone was dealing with it. The glass ceiling in the bathroom was so dusty and dirty you could barely see through it, and the other glass around the villa also looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned for ages. The window walls were extremely fragile and shaky, so opening them felt like they might break. Pool tiles were coming apart in several places. Like many open-plan places in Ubud, geckos and all kinds of insects came in every day, and they were pretty loud. The villa is also not close to the main Ubud district, about 25-30 minutes by bike, with traffic sometimes getting pretty bad. If privacy matters to you, there is a river in front of the villa and we often saw people walking past who could easily see us. There's no gate or fence on that side, so someone could enter easily. That didn't make us feel fully safe or secure.
