Villa Silas

Set among rice fields, it's wonderfully peaceful and quiet, so it's not the spot for anyone looking to party. The room was in much better condition than I expected. Definitely worth it, and I'd come back.

This was the worst hotel we've stayed at during our whole time in Bali. The room smelled terrible, and everything was dirty and untidy. The bathroom water was yellow, the bathroom didn't work properly, and the supposedly filtered water wouldn't come through the shower head. The pool was marked “under maintenance” for both days we were there. The access road is another serious problem. Taxi drivers in cars refused to take us, and even riding a scooter felt dangerous because of huge holes in the road. Getting there was awful. We paid more than 800K for two nights, which is far too much for what we got. The minibar had a price list, but the fridge was empty. When we asked to buy something, staff actually went to a shop to get it, which was ridiculous. The staff were friendly, but pushed activities very hard. When we said we were going rafting, they immediately asked what we'd paid and tried to steer us to other options. It made us uncomfortable. We wouldn't recommend this place. There are much better options nearby. By the way, this was a honeymoon suite 😂

Meals were delicious, and every dish tasted homemade. There were a few little bugs, but it's the Bali countryside, so that's understandable. The rice field views are stunning, and the quiet, peaceful feeling is exactly what we loved. The road is a bit rough, which keeps the tourist crowds down. If you're into nature, this place is a dream.

The street was awful, the pool didn't work, and the mini fridge was empty. Everything felt old and smelled bad, the bedding hadn't been changed, and the place was uncomfortable. The online photos didn't match what we found at all. This was the worst place we've experienced in Bali, and it isn't even worth one star. We'd agreed on a collaboration, a free room and breakfast in exchange for content. After seeing the villa, we didn't want to promote it and mislead people, so we politely offered to pay for the stay ourselves. Everyone seemed fine with that, even when we said we didn't want breakfast, since we'd already decided not to show or promote the place. The staff kept pushing tours, raising the prices to make extra money for themselves. After my partner left a bad review, they more or less blamed us, saying we wanted everything for free :D We were the ones who chose to pay rather than promote it and mislead others.
