Getting around was the only little drawback, since there aren't many places nearby and you'll need a bike. It didn't bother me much, though. The hostel had a lovely jungle feel, and the pool area made it easy to forget I was staying in one. My room was incredibly clean, even by my high standards, the banana pancakes were the best I've ever had, and the staff were so friendly.

The six-bed room had a cozy bed, and the whole place felt peaceful. There was no loud music, which made it a nice spot to unwind. I did have one cockroach come onto a food box I'd left on my bed. That sort of thing can happen anywhere, but it's something to expect in a hostel with a jungle feel. I'd recommend staying here if you're after a quiet, relaxing place.

I only booked a single night, then stayed much longer. It's a peaceful little oasis beside a busy road, in a good location, and the price felt low for what you get. Breakfast was lovely, especially the banana pancakes, and the staff were friendly and available. Really recommend it.

The private room was just right, and the place was beautiful, clean, and full of nice common spots to relax or chat with people. Good atmosphere, plus affordable laundry and moto rental for 70k. Looking back, I'd have spent my whole time here instead of at Layday.

The garden and clean, pretty pool make it feel like a little heaven in busy Ulu. Breakfast is great, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The beds are comfy, dorms roomy, and the huge locker held both my backpacks. Everything was cleaned thoroughly every day. Scooter rental is only 70k a day, and the 24-hour period runs from pickup time to the same time the next day, which is so convenient. One thing I noticed is that two dorm rooms seem much more modern than the other. It'd be nice to choose the newer room for a little extra, or have the reverse option.
