I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The power was cut without warning, and we were simply told to wait. We waited a very long time, until the next day, and there was still no electricity when we checked out. Imagine being in 30-degree heat without even a fan.

The view from the top of Beverly was unforgettable. On New Year’s Eve we could see fireworks all across the island. The atmosphere was peaceful, and there’s a big park where you can walk with children, so I’d happily recommend this hotel for a family vacation. Our spacious two-bedroom villa was very comfortable, with a private bathroom in each room. The kitchen and living area fit our group of 10, and the kitchen had what we needed to make dinner. When we asked, staff promptly brought extra tableware. We had an amazing New Year’s with family.

The main street of Ulluwatu is about a 20-minute drive away, so the hotel is a little far from the centre. Apart from that, it’s a really good property and the staff are well managed.

We had such a peaceful, private weekend at Beverli Hills Bali in Uluwatu. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, and the price was really reasonable for what you get. The lobby view is incredible, with the Garuda statue, ocean waves and open sky. Our private pool villa had high ceilings, a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi and massage table, and a very comfortable king-size bed. There was also an open kitchen and a small, lovely garden. A great quiet escape.
