Villa Garden Umah D'Kampoeng

The place is lovely, clean, and very central. The receptionist even lent me her scooter so I could run errands after I arrived late. The food was nice, and the Bintang was ice cold. The photos are a bit over-filtered, though. We stayed in November 2019, before Covid, and everyone was already wearing masks. Maybe it was for air pollution, or maybe not. Check that your booking covers both bedrooms if you plan to use them. I thought I’d paid for both, but it turned out I’d only paid for one, so I had to pay extra for the second room on arrival. Warung Santai is the best place to eat nearby.

It’s a quiet place with a lot of space and private villas, each with its own parking. The villas are comfortable and have at least two rooms, and there’s a small shared pool. It’s close to roads leading to many great Jimbaran beaches. Restaurants and bars aren’t nearby, so you’ll need to rent a car or bike to go out.

The villa itself is nice, clean, has a pool, and is well placed for getting to the best beaches. But our prepaid one-month arrangement caused a lot of trouble. Airbnb listed a kitchen, two showers, breakfast included, and no extra charges. In reality, the office asked for another 500k rupiah for electricity after the first week. There were no cooking tools in the kitchen, no breakfast was provided, and there was only one bathroom. It took two weeks of our month-long stay to sort everything out with the hosts. I was disappointed. I’d recommend checking all the details before you arrive.

Near the GWK statue, so the location is perfect. The villa is clean and smells good, with working AC and plenty of space. It has two rooms, one bathroom, a living room with a sofa, a small kitchen, and a little garden. Recommended!
