Villa Simone

We especially enjoyed the big TV room. With plenty of space for six adults and two little kids, it was perfect for spending quality time together at Villa Simone. The villa was clean, spacious, well organized, and had everything we needed. Pak Tatang and Bli Budi were warm and helpful, and patiently explained everything to us. Thanks for the lovely family memories. Wishing Villa Simone continued success and smooth sailing!

The villa is on a quiet street, close to plenty of shops and restaurants. We liked going to Oku Cafe (Banang) and Bali Buda. It’s a large place with three bedrooms and comfortable beds, the best we’ve had so far in Bali. The private pool is big and clean, too. Tatang and Budi kept everything clean and organized, replied quickly, and made sure we had what we needed. Thanks for taking such good care of us. The villa does need some maintenance, including painting and repairs. I hope the owner puts some effort into that.

The broken, uneven floor tiles caused one of us to trip, fall, and sprain his ankle, and there are loose tiles in the pool as well. We didn't feel safe because the bedroom door couldn't be locked securely and seemed like it could be knocked down with a hard push. The outdoor toilet design also isn't ideal, since someone standing on the veranda balcony can look inside. The wooden door between the bathing area and pool was jammed shut and couldn't be closed, leaving four of us to share one toilet even though we'd booked a two-bedroom villa with two bathrooms. The indoor toilet's drain cover was sunken, and there was a bad sewage smell. Both beds were uncomfortable: one had a broken middle spring and sagged, so my husband had to sleep on the sofa. My friends said the other was two single beds joined under a queen-sized sheet, and it was uncomfortable too. This was the worst place I've ever stayed. We asked to check out early and move elsewhere, but the owner wouldn't refund the second night, and our request to change villas was ignored. Thank God we only stayed two nights instead of longer. We booked through the HomeAway app, which offered no customer service or follow-up. They said a third party had charged the payment, even though we booked in the app and got the confirmation email from them, and said they couldn't do anything about compensation. Avoid HomeAway at all costs. I've used Airbnb and other booking sites like Agoda, and their customer service is much better.

The views were amazing, the rooms were great, and there were wonderful spots to relax. I was here with my family and can't praise the place enough. Such a beautiful destination.
