Rara Guest House Raja Ampat

The staff were incredibly kind when I was ill with a fever and had to stay overnight in Waisai. They went to the market for drinking water and nasi, the only thing I could manage. I was still foggy the next morning and left my wallet behind, but the receptionist caught up with me at the harbour to return it. The place itself is very basic, with no hot water, but the electricity worked, the sheets were clean, and the AC was strong if you wanted it. Couldn't speak highly enough of their hospitality.

We were very happy with our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with AC, and breakfast was included. Staff gave us a friendly welcome, and we could refill our water for free, with tea and coffee available too. Good value, just a few minutes by car from the ferry terminal. 🙏☺️

The staff and owner were helpful with everything, and it worked well as a practical base if you're outside the diving circuit and want somewhere more rustic. It's good value, with motorbikes available to rent, which are a must for getting around. The AC worked well, and there was coffee and a local breakfast.

Wawan is such a great host, always ready to help guests with questions or requests and finding a solution with a big smile. The guest house is clean, comfortable, and in a really handy location. Super recommended.
