Nikyta makes delicious coffee, and the breakfast is included and really good. Everyone on the team is committed and friendly, especially Nikyta, who understands backpacking and likes chatting with guests. Sonja has useful advice on routes and places to see, and the owners can help arrange treks and trips with local Papuan guides at fair prices. Pintu Biru is a must if you're in Wamana, whether you stay here or just stop by for coffee. We'll come back one day!

The showers are improvised but clean, and the workout room is good. It's a hostel, so don't expect a hotel, but that suits the place: the staff help arrange trips, explain what you can and can't do, and make you feel like part of their family ❤️. It's the best coffee around, too, with good food, a welcoming team, and a good spot in the city. For me and many others who've been here, it's the top place for a short or long stay in Wamena, or just for coffee. It's also the cheapest option.
The owners are wonderful hosts with huge hearts, always ready to go out of their way to help. Pintu Biru is kept in mint condition and has everything you'd expect from a hostel, plus more. Great people, food, and coffee. I'd highly recommend staying here! Terima kasih♥️
Breakfast was delicious, and you could smell the excellent freshly brewed coffee. Niky makes it with real care, he's a true coffee geek. The family and staff shared the place and their time with guests, always checking whether we needed anything and happy to help with questions or concerns. There's a lot of laughter, conversation, peace, and kindness here. We stayed six nights at Pintu Biru hostel, using it as our base to explore the Baliem Valley and attend the Baliem Festival from August 7th to 9th. They arranged a short trek through the Valley and took us to the Festival. Such a small place, with such warm-hearted people and a lovely welcome. Thank you for everything. Pintu Biru Hostel and its family have a place in our hearts now. Don't hesitate to stay here in Wamena. Carlos and Raúl
It felt like a hidden treasure and a home away from home. I loved having drip coffee each morning in Nicky ‘s magic space, and the breakfast was amazing. The close, personal chats with Sonia are a warm memory I'll keep for life. I felt as if I had a daughter in wamena. I hope we meet again in Japan or Taiwan.
