The staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful, and there’s also a cafe for picking up food or a drink later in the day. My stay included buffet breakfast, which was freshly cooked and really tasty, like food from a good restaurant. The spread was much better than at most big chain 3-star hotels I’ve stayed in, especially for the room price. Breakfast changed between mornings. On the first day there was ayam bakar taliwang, bihun goreng, buncis, perkedel jagung, sop kimlo, and white rice. The next day featured ikan saus padang. They also had eggs and Indomie made to order, toast, cereal, juice, dessert, snacks, fruit, and hot tea and coffee. I was especially happy to see surabi notosuman for dessert. The room matched the pictures, smelled lovely, and was very clean. It came with a full set of amenities: body wash, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, slippers, a comb, shower cap, and soap. For the value, the price was a great deal. I had a comfortable, satisfying stay and would recommend it.

On my latest visit to Dhipa Kinanti I had a Superior King room upstairs, after previously staying in a ground-floor Superior Twin. I found the second floor quieter and more comfortable, as it’s farther from the pool. The room was clean, smelled nice, and had an attractive design. The staff were warm and friendly, and the service was excellent. Breakfast didn’t offer a huge range, but the food was good, and the instant noodle stall was a fun, cozy addition. Hot water took a little while to warm up, though that was only a minor issue for me. For the price, I think it’s worth it.

We spent five nights here with our two sons, and I’m going to miss the place. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. I never got the name of the young Sunda woman from Bandung at reception, but whenever my wife and I passed the desk, often more than five times a day, she greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello. Nobody minded when we brought buffet breakfast back to our room for the boys, and staff helped with our needs and suggested tourist attractions and places to eat. The hotel restaurant had delicious food, priced from 30k-80k. I’d rate the stay as high value for a 4-star hotel. Our room was clean, and the rate was only around 500k a night, which felt ridiculously cheap for what we got. The pool was basic, but it was a nice place to swim in the morning or after a long day. There’s wheelchair and pram access via a ramp. On the third floor there’s a prayer area, a pleasant place to sit and relax while the kids slept. Unlimited tea, coffee, and ice water were available in front of our door. A few things were inconvenient: there were no extra blankets, the lockbox safe didn’t work and couldn’t be replaced, and the Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room, though it worked elsewhere in the hotel. I’d still highly recommend it for families or solo travelers.

The location is good, but the way this place is run felt odd. Many employees came across as impolite and sat around the lobby in a way that seemed unprofessional. The floors and windows were dirty, and the bathrooms looked like limescale had been building up for months. It seems to me that the young staff need a qualified manager to guide them.

I stayed for 4D3N and found it affordable, with great customer service. Staff were attentive and friendly. Around midnight I ordered food, and they offered me a bowl and utensils without being asked. I’d also forgotten to log out of my Netflix and Vidio accounts, and they were happy to help. I had a Superior King, one of the standard rooms rather than a Deluxe or Suite, and it was a good size. The room was clean, especially the bathroom, and the location was convenient for walking to cafes and restaurants or getting to other places. There were a few drawbacks. The pool water surface was a bit dirty, and I think an overflow filtration system could help remove the debris. My ground-floor room faced the pool, and it wasn’t soundproof: I heard a baby crying at night and kids yelling in the pool in the morning. Parking was limited. I visited during Waisak and counted seven cars, though there may also be parking in the neighboring building. Breakfast was underwhelming. I ate there twice and was disappointed, so I skipped it on my last day.
