We left within minutes. The staff at check-in seemed very uninterested, though they weren't rude, and the private room wasn't up to standard. It was cold, bare, and had two mattresses on the floor with no window or decorations. The bathroom didn't look very clean either. Then we spotted two bugs crawling on and around the mattresses. We couldn't confirm they were bedbugs, but decided to leave anyway. We'd been treated so kindly elsewhere in Indonesia, and this wasn't an example of that. The shared area looked nice, and the place is very close to the sightseeing attractions, which could be a plus for a one-night stay. With Grab readily available, though, we chose a place about a 10-minute drive from the Kraton instead, and it was very nice.

The price is hard to beat, and the staff were helpful. The lounge areas felt cozy, and my room was super clean and comfortable. They seem to have thought of everything you might need during a stay. Best hostel I've stayed in Indonesia, and I'll definitely come back!

The location is good, and the place is nicely decorated and clean. My private room had AC, but it was very small, with only a bed, no proper window, and not much furniture. It was also a bit noisy at night. It was fine for the price, though. The staff were friendly, but spoke very little English. If you're hoping to meet people at a hostel, I wouldn't recommend this one. The “Chillout-Lounge” is at the back of the house and hardly gets used.

I stayed three nights in a private room and enjoyed it. The hostel is conveniently close to the bus stop, with stylish decor, friendly staff, free water refills, and a clothesline for hanging towels. It looked clean and decent, although I did see two live cockroaches on the floor of my downstairs room. I would still recommend it.
