Maranatha Grand Hotel

Although it's called Grand Hotel, this is a small inn. The room's facilities aren't great, but the place is clean and well maintained, the price is cheap, and the interior is neatly arranged. It's along Malioboro Street and close to Yogyakarta Tugu Station, so getting around is easy. We stayed here on our trip to Borodubur, Yogyakarta. The hotel serves local food only, but it's worth eating and is well prepared, with simple local meals and coffee. The staff, who seemed to be the owners, were very friendly. When I asked how to get to Yogyakarta Airport, they helpfully explained the ticketing, time, and place, just like their job. Smoking isn't allowed in the rooms, but smoke from the terrace got into ours, which was unpleasant for non-smokers. Not a big hotel, but clean, well managed, and with good service.

It's only 2 years old, so the hotel is in good condition. The bed was very comfortable, and staff were friendly. The location is great too. I had a nice stay and recommend it to others. Call to get cheaper rates than booking through booking websites.

We got breakfast included, and the food was quite nice with a great variety of meals just outside the hotel. The room was clean, and the bathroom clean enough. We had no outside view from the room we stayed in, but despite being on a busy street, it wasn't noisy. Crew service was nice and the location great, only a few minutes' walk from malioboro street. Parking isn't very spacious, though. The price is affordable and competitive.

The staff were good, the linens were clean, and every TV channel came through clearly. Breakfast was simple but okay, and it was good value for your money. It's on jalan Dagen, very close to jalan Malioboro in the heart of Yogyakarta City.
