I loved starting the day with a walk around this peaceful place in Bantul. You can make coffee, pick up a book, and enjoy the quiet. There’s a shared kitchen where guests can prepare breakfast themselves, and it has a homey feel. The owner was friendly and helpful, and I wish I’d stayed longer. The room was clean and a good place to relax. There’s no TV or AC, and the bathroom is outside, which all made it feel like a real vacation. Dogs and cats are kept in a separate room, and you can buy merchandise to support their care.

I stayed from Jan 28-Feb 2 with my dog, Simba, and it felt like home. The place is surrounded by bamboo forest, where we took some of Simba’s photos. The Wi-Fi worked well, so I could post lots of pictures without trouble. There’s plenty of open shared space to relax, and they also have dogs and a cute pig. It’s a quiet, somewhat secluded spot, though still close to most popular places in Jogja. Getting to Prawirotaman Road took about 7 minutes at midnight and 20 minutes in peak traffic around 6pm. The narrow street access seems to allow just one car at a time. For pet safety, the homestay has several layers of doors and fences. It felt like Simba couldn’t escape even with wings or a jetpack. There’s also a nice vegan restaurant right next door, where I could pop in for sushi and coffee. It has a natural garden-to-table concept and is open Monday-Saturday, 12pm-8pm. You can see my photos with Simba there. I love this place and recommend it in Jogja, especially for dog people.

The bed was comfortable, the room stayed cool throughout the day, and service was good. We didn’t mind using the shared outdoor bathroom. The cats around our room were a bit of a problem, though, since they set off asthma.

A homestay that makes you want to come back! The owners are friendly and inspiring, and there’s a vegan cafe too. If you’re travelling with a dog or cat, this would be a great option. Can’t wait to return.

I haven’t stayed here, I only dropped off a foreign visitor who was going there. My rating is about the location, not the service. It’s quite far from the city, though it could suit you if you like somewhere quiet. The access road isn’t great and seems wide enough for only one car.
