The noise was the problem for us. We could hear other guests next door and in the shared areas, so I hope management will enforce quiet hours from 10 pm. If they do, we’d stay again. The place itself has a lovely homestay feel, warm and friendly staff, and a nice pool area. Our room opened straight onto the pool. Hope this feedback helps.

The redesign has a lot of character, and the atmosphere inside Njeron Beteng feels peaceful and well preserved. Omah Siliran Heritage is a lovely artistic retreat in a historic location. Families have good amenities too, and the pool was a hit with the kids when they wanted to get out of the afternoon heat.

Having a kitchen made staying with family comfortable, and the place is good value for money. The location is good too, though the gate to the higher-end restaurants is closed for renovation. You’ll need a taxi or a 30-minute walk to get there.

The pool was my favorite part, and the common areas are beautifully decorated with lots of natural light. They stay comfortable even in Jogja’s serious heat. The ladies at the desk were kind and helped me get oriented when I arrived, and I always felt looked after. After a tiring trip, it was a relief to find my room tidy, air-conditioned, and softly scented with woody flowers. The place is close to Alun-alun Jogja, a fun area to explore in the evening, and the laundry is super affordable. My clothes came back smelling like flowers! There’s no breakfast provided, but plenty of vendors nearby sell authentic food that’ll put a smile on your face. This is the most beautiful, peaceful place I’ve stayed, in Jogja and maybe anywhere.
