Osco Paviliun

Our granddaughter could hardly stay away from the private pool, which says a lot about how much she enjoyed OCEA Villa. We had the three-bedroom setup at OsCo Paviliun with my mother, my wife and me, my big sister and her husband, our daughter and her husband, and our granddaughter. Bringing the whole immediate family together there made it the highlight of our Central Java trip, especially our time in Yogyakarta. We’d recommend this kind of “non-hotel” stay for a family trip. Before we arrived, the staff kept in touch on Whatsapp to ask when we expected to get there and whether we needed anything in particular. When we reached the villa, the staff and the young couple who own the place welcomed us and helped us settle in. At checkout, everyone was out in the driveway to see us off, including the owners. We took photos together and exchanged numbers so we can book directly when we visit Yogyakarta again. The pool was clean, and its control switch was inside the villa, so we could use it in the evening as well. There was a dining table and a pantry with a cooker and the necessities for cooking and eating there. Our rooms had clean sheets and blankets. We were one person over, but housekeeping quickly brought in an extra bed. Each room had a smart TV, so we could watch Netflix and Youtube. Breakfast was nice, though there was no menu to choose from. Instead, they brought us a different set of local delicacies each morning, which was a pleasant surprise. The housekeeping staff worked quickly and professionally each morning, cleaning and replacing amenities, including the towels. Herry was especially helpful and courteous, and even brought our GoFood order from the front of the house to the villa. The one inconvenience was the shower. The bathroom was clean, but the compartment felt a bit small and the installed shower head was awkward to use. I’d suggest an overhead rain shower. Aside from that, the stay came close to perfection. I used to be a hotel operator before retirement, so my standards are pretty high. You’re already 99.9% there, and with a small change to the shower head, I’m sure you’d reach 100% by my standard. All the best!
