Rajaklana Resort

Our second room had a cracked ceiling that dropped debris onto the bed. After two nights, they finally sealed the roof temporarily. We were given a complimentary dinner as an apology and goodwill gesture. Despite everything, we had a great time at Rajaklana Hotel and would return. The infinity pool was lovely, but algae contamination kept it unusable for the first week and a bit of our two-week stay. After several conversations with the manager and staff, we could finally swim during the last two days. Our first room was right by the road and too noisy. When we explained, they moved us lower down into the valley part of the resort, which was much quieter. The steps up and down were challenging, though the view made up for that. The resort restaurant was 1.2km away, with a free shuttle there and back. One time we waited over an hour for drinks, and when they came, they were very poor quality. Our food order hadn't been put through either. After an hour and a half, we gave up and asked the restaurant manager to cancel everything because we were heading back to our room. He apologized and arranged to send the order to our room at no charge. That was good service, but it shouldn't have reached that point.

On your own, the place can feel a little too romantic. Still, there's something about it that lets you pause and think about life, like a moment of free fall. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, and the food and service were excellent. I'd definitely come back.

Maura and Dani were so kind and ready to help with anything, they really made us feel at home. Rajalanka Resort is a peaceful place to relax among nature, though it's a bit remote. Grab makes it easy to get around when you want to explore. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it for the welcoming hosts.

The staff did everything they could to make my week-long stay a good one, and breakfast had a great selection. My Royal Stone House room was spacious and well equipped, with a fridge, kettle, and safe deposit box, plus a very comfortable bed. The views are breathtaking and the place feels like a peaceful haven. I used it as a base for visiting sites in and around Yogyakarta, and it was convenient for both the airport and Borobudur. Recommended, and I'd stay again.
