We planned on staying five nights, then liked the place enough to stay for eight. The owner and his family were lovely, and he pointed us to a good breakfast spot. We had a really nice chat with him, too. When the sink gave us trouble, it was fixed right away. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the little terrace was nice. Hot and cold water were available all day, and there was a fridge for our things. Supermarkets and warungs are nearby, and the bus to Malioboro street costs only 3600 IND.

There are lots of green plants, so the place feels quite homey. The homestay is attached to the owner's house, at the front and back. Rooms have standard utilities, but aren't soundproof. Guests can use the shared fridge and refill water from the dispenser for free, and a simple breakfast is included.

I was working in Yogyakarta and had arranged with the owner to stay here for a few months. While I was away on holiday for a week, he let other people sleep in the room I had rented and paid for, with my belongings still inside. When I returned, he said I couldn't have my room back and had to stay at his house. He was unfriendly and even threatened to call the police if I didn't agree. In the end, he put me out on the street at 11 PM, with nowhere to sleep. The most horrible place I've ever stayed. I wouldn't recommend OYO to anybody.

It's close to everything, though we had a hard time finding it, and there was a bit of a smell sometimes. The place was clean and comfortable, the host family very helpful, and breakfast was nice.

Good hospitality and a nice bed, with enough towels and complimentary items. The room is a good size, the hot water is nice, and the aircon stays cool. A good pick for a low budget homestay.
