The Malioboro Hotel & Conference Center

Our room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable. The pool isn't very big, but it was enough for the kids to have fun. I booked without breakfast, so I can't comment on the food. There are bentor (becak motor) waiting right outside the hotel, and you can ask them to take you wherever you need to go. This was our first stay here, and I'd recommend it. We’re happy to come back next time we’re in Jogja.

The room was okay, but we were disappointed that the shower and wastafel water sometimes suddenly slowed to a trickle. There was no cold water available from the dispenser either. They told us cold water wasn't part of their service, even though a hotel with the same star rating we compared it with did provide it. We stayed on the 9th floor, just below the rooftop, and whenever there was an event up there, we could hear the music and noise in our room. The reception staff didn't seem very friendly, especially the women working there. They seemed busy, and greeted us without a happy smile. Our first impression was just okay. The valet men in the lobby gave the best service. Hope the hotel improves its service in future.

The service was very good. We even asked a security staff member to take our picture, and he helped us out. The clean, spacious rooms also suited our family well, including the triple room. Malioboro street, bakpia, and lots of traditional food are all within walking distance. We'd definitely come back. Thank you.

The room was damp, dusty, poorly ventilated, and pretty crappy. It felt very minimalist, with hardly any racks for our things. The soap, toothpaste, and shampoo were obscure brands and seemed watered down, ffs. The staff service was very good, though.
