Teach Cruachán Large-group Holiday Home

The people here really made our trip. The man running the B&B gladly rented us three shiny, well-kept bikes, along with helmets and high-vis jackets, even if he seemed a little puzzled by our plan. When the misty weather cut our ride short, the kind woman who answered the phone offered us a lift back to our Airbnb. My friends and I had come to beautiful Achill for Easter, right during April’s only wet, cold, rainy weekend. We’d booked ages in advance and were determined to enjoy ourselves, and luckily we did. We wish we’d booked our stay with these lovely folks too. We’ll definitely stay here next time. Such good people, and highly recommended!

The location worked perfectly for us. There’s a fishing pier a short walk away for daily swims, pubs within walking distance, and Keel and Keem beaches are each under a ten-minute drive in either direction. The views are outstanding, and on two evenings we spotted dolphins from the window. Magical for the little ones. We were a family of 10, six adults and four children, and the house had everything we needed to eat well and keep everyone entertained. Roisin had toys ready for the children, a baby bath with a rubber duck in my room for my six-month-old son, and showed us how to use her amazing kitchen, with its commercial stove, oven, air-fryer, and all the pots and pans you could need. Her attention to detail was incredible. Most of all, we felt treated like family. Roisin went above and beyond, answered our questions quickly, and made sure we had what we needed. We’re already talking about returning to Achill and her wonderful house. Thank you for everything, Roisin and Micheal!

Roisin & Michael were lovely hosts. Our room was spotless, had a beautiful view over the sheep and water, and felt just right. The place had loads of charm, and breakfast was delicious. Highly, highly recommend!

We only had two nights at Roisin & Michael’s beautiful B&B and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy Achill Island and their hospitality. They were quick and easy to communicate with, and even accommodated our very late arrival. The room was clean and comfortable, and the lounge was warm and inviting. In the morning, we had the most delicious breakfast cooked to order. We’ll be back!
