Right in the middle of town, Seaview couldn’t be better located. John runs the village shop there, and he and Mary are a wonderful couple. Mary also has books about the area and its history for guests to read, and I found plenty of interesting ones. My spacious room was immaculately clean and had a fabulous view. Mary made me feel welcome and is an excellent cook. The buffet had a huge choice, including homemade bread and cakes, and she’ll also cook a hot breakfast to order. I especially loved her poached eggs, the best I’ve ever had.

We were so grateful to find Seaview Guest House as a place to rest for one night while traveling through the Beara Peninsula. The hosts were kind and very accommodating, and the stay in Allihies was incredible.

Mary’s B&B was a real highlight of our Beara Way walk. Everything felt cared for, from the warm, comfortable room to the lovely decoration throughout the property. Mary was so welcoming and kind. And breakfast was amazing, generous and delicious, made with love and a perfect start to the day. A little treasure in Allihies.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including fruit, salads, cereal and a full Irish, among other options, and the price was reasonable. We’d book this guesthouse again and recommend it to others. Mary was helpful and very accommodating. Our room was clean and well furnished, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was fantastic.
