The sea was lovely to look at in the evenings, and the King suite was huge, clean, and furnished with antiques. We had a relaxing getaway, though there were no trash bags in the bins. The wall radiators had been switched off downstairs, so heating was a bit of a problem at first, but the portable heater did the job. For dinner, the choices were the pub down the road or going to Duncannon. The nearby pub was small and had been reserved for a birthday party, so we couldn't get a seat and got takeaway instead. It was all right, though they charged us the same as for eating in. Breakfast was included at this bed and breakfast and was also all right. There was a tea and coffee station for making your own, plus some pastries. We took a little walk around the estate and saw deer and cattle. Beyond the estate there aren't many pedestrian pavements, so I wouldn't recommend walking outside it.

The place is immaculate, clearly cared for with real pride. It’s just a minute’s stroll to the harbour and the friendly little Kings Bay Inn, and the Hollow Inn, 5 k away, is excellent for seafood. April was a star at sorting rooms for our group of 10. Ann and Tom were so welcoming and helpful, and the girls serving breakfast were friendly and professional. There were lots of breakfast choices and everything was tasty. A superb example of an Irish Guest House done right. We loved it and hope to return someday. Book it now. :)

We had lovely sea views from the Ballyhack Room, and the reading room was warm and cosy. After a B&B in Duncannon let me down, I called Glendine house, and Anne and Tosh let my partner and me in at 10 pm. They really looked after us. The breakfast was divine, and we loved seeing the cute baby lambs. Would highly recommend.

The breakfast was a standout, fresh, hearty, and beautifully cooked, and our cosy room was spotless. The house has lots of old style character while still feeling comfortable and immaculate. We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived, and the hosts went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. It’s a peaceful countryside spot with lovely views, a short stroll from the bay and handy for places like Kings Bay Inn. A wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it highly.

Anne and the team made our Easter weekend stay lovely, and Lara, our beagle, was welcome too. The King's Bay Inn, about 5 mins away, is dog friendly and very accommodating as well. We'll be back.
