We were pleasantly surprised to find this place just off the highway on the way to Dublin. The food was great and reasonably priced. My wife had the pictured burger, and I really enjoyed my pasta. The staff were very friendly.

A little outside town, but this restaurant is a great find. The staff are reliably friendly and make new customers feel welcome. The food always lives up to expectations. I’ve never left disappointed.

We dropped in for dinner on Friday and ended up having a lovely evening catching up with family over a drink. The staff were friendly and helpful, the kitchen area was very clean, and the food was delicious, well cooked, and nicely presented. Prices were reasonable too. I’d definitely go back.

The staff were excellent and it’s a nice place, but the food was just OK and the hallway carpet could do with being replaced. It’s a bit too far from town to walk to the centre. We thought breakfast was included, but it wasn’t, which made this the dearest room on our trip. I’m not sure I’d book again.

There’s a lovely restaurant downstairs, as well as an old school bar where the fire is always lit and the Guinness is flowing. The rooms are very spacious, more like hotel rooms than a guesthouse, and it’s excellent value. The location is central to Athlone Town.
