Rheban BnB

We had a horrible stay, especially with our children. The cups were filthy, there was no sink in the kitchen, and the shower was black with mould and smelled awful. We barely slept and could only lie on top of the bed because the sheets didn’t seem to have been washed. It was the worst accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. So bad 👎

We were left without the room we’d paid for and booked two weeks ahead. When we arrived, nobody answered the phone for five hours. My husband had to find somewhere at the last minute, and Aurora BnB took us in quickly. I’m very grateful to the owner there, since I had a small baby who needed to go to sleep right away. I was counting on this booking and never imagined this would happen. We were furious that someone in hospitality could behave this way. Booking.com gave us a full refund after we contacted them. Avoid this property. It isn’t reliable, and you could end up sleeping outside.

Breakfast was appalling, with no spoons or water, and nobody around to ask for water to fill the kettle. I got very little sleep because the place was noisy, with children crying and sounds of someone brushing the floor at 3am. There was no one to greet us at check-in or check-out either. The room was cold and the mattress very poor. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Don’t stay here.

We only lasted one night, and tried to move after seeing the place, but everywhere else was full. The furniture and carpets were old and worn, the garden looked like a junk yard, and the rooms felt dated. Our duvets were filthy, and the lamp didn’t work. I couldn’t find anyone in the evening to ask about it. The shared bathroom was dirty, the towels were old and worn, and the ensuite shower mat was mouldy with a dirty floor underneath. You could hear everything, including the owner shouting at a young child in the morning and the man running the place clearing his throat in the back garden. Breakfast was self-serve. The yogurt was in date, as was the bread, but the utensils didn’t look clean, so I skipped it. I can’t believe they’re allowed to run a business like this. Find somewhere else if you can.
