Anne suggested we shorten our stay with her by a day and arranged another B&B in Killarney, so we wouldn't miss county Kerry and the Dingle peninsula. We're very glad we took her advice. She was a wonderful host and helped us a lot with travel plans on our first trip to Ireland. The rooms are large and en-suite, and breakfast was great.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was marvelous. Anne and Martin were such friendly, helpful and caring hosts, with good tips for local pubs and sightseeing around the region. The B&B is near town, where we found lovely pubs and restaurants by the river. We can absolutely recommend it. Such a lovely house and B&B.

Finding the BnB was a little difficult, but we had a very pleasant stay. Ann was kind and incredibly helpful, even helping us find the way to our next destination and simplifying the journey. The rooms are large and clean, and breakfast was excellent, one of the best Irish breakfasts we've had to date.

Anne made hearty breakfasts each morning and sat with us to help plan where to go and what to do. She's knowledgeable, very kind, and an avid cyclist and hiker if you want ideas for those activities. The B&B has large bedrooms and lots of common rooms to relax in, and it's a great base for the region. We drove to Loop Head Lighthouse, the Cliffs of Moher and the Barrens, which I'd never heard of before. We'd asked for a local pub for dinner, and Anne found just the right place. Ireland was in the World Cup rugby championships, and the waterfront pub was packed with dozens of locals on the outdoor patio watching on a movie-sized screen. It was so much fun to see everyone cheering and reacting to the semifinals game, which Ireland won! We ended up at Whitethorn after our first B&B canceled our reservation because of a family issue. When I asked that person for help finding somewhere else, they rebooked us with Anne. I'm so glad they did. What a lovely Irish B&B, and thanks to Anne for her wonderful hospitality and great activity advice.

Ballina is quaint and charming, and we loved the quieter feel away from the big cities. The property is just outside of Limerick, in a handy central spot for day trips in several directions. It's a charming place at the quiet end of the street, with a beautiful private dining room for guests. The rooms and bathrooms were a good size, comfortable and charming, and Ms. Ann made amazing breakfasts to order. Most of all, thank you to our host Ann. She went above and beyond and was so welcoming, kind and generous. Letty and I appreciated you very much. I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay at this charming B&B was, or how special, accommodating and generous Ms Ann was. I highly recommend the Whitethorn Lodge B&B! James and Letty Steele
