The children and grandchildren were delighted from the moment we arrived, with the lovely decorations and warm welcome from the staff. We took the family to Ocean warrior for Christmas dinner, and the food was generous and delicious, desserts included. They were quick to bring a high chair and something to keep the infant entertained. Everyone was full by the end, and the price was very reasonable. We had such an enjoyable meal that we’ll be back next year. Thanks to all the staff.

We’d heard from locals that Dorrian’s Imperial Hotel was dog friendly, so we were looking forward to having a drink in the gorgeous bar and eating at the restaurant. The woman at the front desk turned us away. I respect that the establishment can set its own policy, and I gave five stars since we weren’t able to have an experience to review. Still, a little curiosity before refusing us would have been nice. Our dog is a professional bon vivant, and we love dining out. It could have worked out well for everyone.

The food was excellent and the staff looked after us so attentively. We spent a weekend here at the end of February and found the traditional hotel clean, warm and welcoming. Our room was spotless and cosy, with proper sheets and blankets on the bed. It had that old-world hospitality that’s sadly missing in much of Ireland these days. A perfect weekend away. We’ll be back soon.
