Doire Liath

The homemade breakfast and family feel made it easy to settle in. Therese and Sean are such welcoming, charming hosts, and really friendly too. A great place to stay while you're in the area.

Teresa even lent us walking poles for the week, which we were so grateful for. We stayed here both before and after hiking the Sheep's Head Way, and the welcome, rooms, advice and breakfast were all fabulous. Sean's brown bread, Teresa's homemade jams and the locally sourced eggs were delicious. Highly recommend.

The owners were a lovely, helpful couple and always had advice to share. The B&B is just outside town, with a pleasant walk in, and we stayed three nights. Breakfast was varied and very good quality. Room No. 1 was too small for two, though, and the bed wasn't comfortable. The en suite extractor fan wasn't working, so condensation left the floor slippery. A mat was put down on day two, then taken away on day three. The TV was tiny, so it wasn't something you could watch for long. Disappointing overall.

We felt right at home at Doire Laith B&B. The house was spotless, the beds comfortable, and breakfast, cooked at home with local produce, was fantastic. Our hosts were friendly, welcoming, helpful and full of information. My group and I really enjoyed the stay. We'll make a point of coming back to Bantry on our next staycation and booking here again.
