Meadowside B&B

Phil kept a room open for me after I got my reservation date wrong. I was walking to Clonegal the next morning, so she called a taxi, and before that she recommended a nearby restaurant where I enjoyed my meal. I had a good homemade Irish breakfast, too. I stayed at Meadowside B&B the night before setting off on the Wicklow Way. Phil welcomed me warmly. The room was clean and spacious, with a shower, toilet and what I needed to make tea. This was almost a year ago, but I still wanted to leave a review. I’d gladly stay here again if I return to the Wicklow Mountains. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was fantastic. I’d never had porridge before, and after this trip I had it several times, but Ms. Phil’s is still the best I’ve ever tasted. She also made us a full Irish breakfast. We had dinner at the local pub she recommended, which was an easy walk away, and the food was very good. We loved strolling around the quaint town, and were glad we’d gone farther off the beaten path than we expected. My daughter and I were celebrating four years in remission from cancer and had been a little worried because we thought we’d be staying closer to Kilkenny. Meeting Phil changed that. She was accommodating, informative and helpful, and even though we arrived later than planned, she welcomed us warmly. The house was gorgeous and clean, with a chandelier in our room and water and a welcome tray waiting for us. The room had everything we needed and more. It was one of my favorite places in Ireland, and I’ll stay with her again next time. I highly recommend Meadowside. Thank you, Ms. Phil! From Missy & Crystal in USA

Phil was lovely and welcoming, and made our late arrival and early departure easy. The house, garden and room were beautiful and clean, with lots of room to park. It’s also in an accessible location. We’ll definitely book again if we’re in the area.

Phil was a generous, welcoming hostess, and the welcome tray was a lovely touch. Meadowside was exceptionally clean, in an excellent location, and served a yummy breakfast that set us up for the day. It had everything a quaint Irish home should, and we’d happily recommend this gorgeous B&B to friends and family.
