Abbeyglen Castle

We only had a night with the family and immediately wished we’d booked longer. Everyone was so welcoming, and the castle is beautiful. You can set off walking straight from there, whether you fancy the mudflats or the old castle and monuments, and just see where you end up. We’re already planning another visit. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.

It’s hard to think of a hotel stay quite like this one. The staff make you feel part of a group, and guests naturally end up mixing and chatting, which feels rare these days. From having your bags taken when you arrive in the car park to the unhappy moment you have to check out, the service is exceptional. Every member of the team puts in 100% without making a show of it. Don’t pass it by, I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Our guests still bring up the food, the beautiful rooms and venue, and all the little unexpected touches. We came away with memories we’ll cherish and a wedding we won’t forget. From the start, nobody made any request feel like a problem. The whole team took care over every detail. Brian and Ronan were such a pleasure to work with, and Brian hosted the wedding weekend with real warmth and attention. He made our guests feel welcome and at home, and we felt that way too as soon as we arrived. We already miss Abbeyglen Castle Hotel. Thank you to everyone there for making the day more than we imagined.

The bar had a great atmosphere, and both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, thanks Froda, and the location and hospitality were spot on. We only booked one night, but should have planned a few. I’m out of ways to describe the place for now. I’ll save a few for when we come back. Cheers!
