We really loved our day at the Sea view Cottage and wish we’d booked two nights. It felt like home for a day, clean, simple, and welcoming, just the break from hotels we wanted. The cottage is only three or four blocks from the quaint town, set a little above it, so parking wasn’t an issue. The street is right next to town, and the rail station was close if we’d decided to go to Cork. Cobh wasn’t busy, and we were ready to relax, eat simple good food, and, had we realized how central it was, stay two or three days and explore by car or rail. The master bedroom had a beautiful view. The second bedroom had twin beds with a pullout, perfect for one adult or two children. The kitchen was well stocked, though we might have cooked if we’d stayed longer as a break from eating out. There was a small private patio for a glass of wine. The furniture cover wasn’t there, maybe it will be next time. The living room was small but nice for sitting and chatting. There was just one bathroom, but it was updated and very clean. The only issue was that the front door was difficult to lock from outside. We stayed June 17, 2023, and sadly had reserved only one night.
