It’s a beautiful place to stay for a Cork visit if you want to be out of the city. We found it well placed for restaurants in Douglas, and the bathroom had plenty of products. The host was very helpful when we needed something. As the accommodation was self-serviced, a service score didn’t really apply. I’d highly recommend it.

Emily met us herself and showed us around the facilities. The house was clean and stylish, and I especially liked the paintings. It’s on a quiet street, about 15 minutes by car from the city. We had a comfortable stay, and Emily was a great host. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Cork.

Hi Emily, thanks so much. We had a really good stay with our two children, who are 3 and 4. The place was very comfortable and worked well for our young family, with a fantastic location. We’ll be back!

Emily was so welcoming and really understood what travelling with a young family is like. She offered us the trampoline, swings, and scooters, and even offered to babysit! The kids also had books and a toy box waiting for them, and there was a jug of milk in the fridge when we arrived. Such a lovely touch. The Coach House had everything we needed, from towels, shower gel, and bed linen to lots of kitchen gear and food and tea. It’s self-catering, but had many of the comforts of a hotel. The location worked perfectly for us, within walking distance of Doughlas and its indoor and outdoor playgrounds, and a 20-minute drive from Fota wildlife. This was our first break away with our children, nearly 4 and 2, and it went so well we’re encouraged to get away more often. The Coach House exceeded what we expected, and I hope we can come back one day. Thanks for everything, Emily.

Beautiful accommodation, but there were quite a few restrictions. We weren’t allowed to eat outside, and the table shown was for the host’s use only. Since the place is close to the hosts’ home, we also had to keep the noise down while sitting outside because their children’s bedrooms are nearby. That was very disappointing at a time when being outdoors matters so much.
