Baggot Court Townhouse

The room is compact but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were pleasant, breakfast was excellent, and the carpets were unbelievably clean. It got hot at night during that unseasonably hot spell, with temperatures in the high 20s, but I was very happy with the location.

The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was superb. It was cold and wet in Dublin last weekend, but the heating kept this lovely old Georgian building really toasty. It must cost a fortune to maintain. The place ticked all the boxes for me, and I’d stay again and recommend it to others.

I was trying to cancel because of an unexpected family bereavement, and the receptionist told me, “Sorry, but rules are rules and we must follow them,” when I asked about a refund. I found that heartless and completely unhelpful. Hotels and B&Bs I booked for this week and next were understanding and kind, and cancelled without a fee, even though those were last-minute cancellations. This place wouldn’t let me speak to a manager when I called a second time; I was told they weren’t available. I wish I could give zero stars for how I was treated on the phone. The receptionist showed no customer service skills, and it was especially upsetting while I’m already grieving. I’ll take this further if it isn’t resolved soon.

We booked a room for three and had a great stay. It was clean, the hotel staff were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was exceptional. I was glad they had vegan options so I could eat too. I’d come back in an instant.
