Dublin One Hotel

We often started or finished the day in the restaurant, which felt like the centre of the hotel. The staff were happy to let us sit there for a while, and Edwin was especially warm and gave great service. I wish I'd learned the other staff members' names, since they were all lovely. The breakfast buffet was a balanced way to fuel a day of sightseeing, and there was a varied, excellent choice for lunch and dinner as well. Staff throughout were attentive, professional, and quick to understand what guests needed. The facilities were clean, the room decor was tasteful, and I liked the quirky dog pillows. The soap was lovely too.

There wasn't anywhere to hang clothes, no cupboards, closets, or wall hooks. The room itself was okay, though it was quite noisy. It started several times a day, and during the first few nights even at night, which was really disturbing. My stay at the Dublin One hotel was otherwise good. The staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast had a really good selection of food and drinks.

We spent most of our three-night trip out all day and evening, so the small room was perfectly fine for us. The walk into the centre takes about 25-30 minutes, something to keep in mind if you like to return to the hotel during the day. We didn't mind walking at the start and end of our days. Breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts we've had, with gluten-free bread and cereal, almond and coconut milk, and a porridge station with dairy-free porridge. We'd booked directly and paid for breakfast, but it wasn't recorded in the hotel's booking system, so we had to explain each morning that it was already paid. Breakfast and reception staff were understanding and helpful about it. A lovely hotel and Dublin trip overall.

Nora at the front desk helped us check in very early when we arrived worn out after an overnight flight. She also arranged a taxi for our departure. Her help, along with Edwin's at the Botanical restaurant and the accommodating staff generally, made our stay pleasant. Everything about Dublin 1 was wonderful.
