Glencourt Apartments

We really enjoyed staying there and would definitely come back next time I'm in Dublin. It was clean, and we especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. The area was quiet and safe, with Lidl and Tesco nearby. The bus stop is less than two minutes away and has a very good connection to the city, though walking is possible too. Phoenix Park is close by, a nice option for an evening stroll.

The photos for the Samuel Beckett apartment make it look like there are three beds, but it's actually two, one double and one twin, plus a sofabed. Our family of five adults fit, though it was tight. We were out and about most of the day, and having a place for everyone to sleep was what mattered. We had a nice stay. The apartment was clean, the location was great and the owners were wonderful and communicative. My husband left his watch there by accident after checking out, but only realized a day or two later. We were coming back to Dublin a few days after that, so I asked Fiona whether the cleaning lady had found it. Thankfully, she had found the watch and was honest about it. We walked over when we returned and picked it up. My husband was very pleased. The owners were lovely, and the cleaning lady was fabulous for finding the watch.

The location is fairly good, with plenty of amenities nearby, including Tesco for basics, coffee shops, pubs and excellent restaurants. There's a nearby bus stop, or it's about a 25-minute walk to the Luas (Red) and 35 minutes to Heuston station. I stayed three nights in the Oscar Wilde apartment and loved it. The old building isn't fancy, but it's a small, nice place to sleep, and the apartment was clean with the basic essentials, including an iron and board. It had a kitchen and bathroom, and looked out toward the back of the building. I forgot to take a picture inside, especially one showing the "Oscar Wilde" book on the shelf. I didn't get to meet Fiona and Liam, but they gave me clear entry instructions and replied quickly to my questions. They were welcoming, which was a great way to start the stay. I'd definitely recommend it for a solo visit or two people coming to Dublin.

Fiona, the owner, made us feel so welcome, and the room upgrade made the stay even better. The place was clean, with a comfy bed and a lovely shower. It’s close to the centre and handy for anything you might need. We’ll definitely stay here next time we’re in Dublin!
