The bed was comfortable, the shower had strong pressure, and the location is central. Breakfast next door was great. I’d been warned about noise from the neighbouring bars, but that didn’t prepare me for how close they are to the rooms or that the noise carried on for up to 90 minutes after closing.

The location is great, close to bars, but the noise is no joke. We assumed it would come from the bar below the hotel, not every bar on the block. That was our mistake, I guess. With single-pane windows and no heavy curtains, it felt like being in a dance club, with people yelling and bass pumping. My Apple Watch warned about ear damage while I was in the bedroom. The suite layout is awkward too, with two bedrooms and the bathroom in one of them, separated by a strange glass wall. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re over 26 or want to sleep.

The room was comfortable, and the staff were lovely. A special mention to receptionist Mikey, who was especially welcoming and took care of all our needs. Nice hotel right in the heart of Dublin.

There are five flights of stairs to the top floor where our room was, and there’s no A/C. We left a window open and it was fine. The room was a decent size. We’d been warned about loud music from the bar, but it didn’t bother us. Ear plugs are available.

The room was a letdown for what Dublin prices cost. The radiator was running on one of the hottest days, the window wouldn't shut, the toilet kept making noise, and so did the basin tap. The shower swung between too hot and too cold, and the water didn't drain properly. I wasn't satisfied, especially for the price, and there wasn't even breakfast included. I was only there for one night with my 83-year-old dad. The unused bar in reception looked like it could have been a quiet place for us, but it wasn't operating. There was a lively bar downstairs, though. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with bad knees. The staff aren't to blame for the cheap approach, in my view; that falls on the owners.
