The staff are so helpful, and if anything in your room isn’t right, they’ll sort it out. The shared lounge is gorgeous, and the atmosphere, location, and value make this a top pick for me. The rooms are small but have everything you need, and they’re some of the quietest hotel rooms I’ve ever slept in. I’ve stayed at the Marlin twice while travelling in Dublin. Thanks for two lovely visits, and I hope there are more.

It’s clean and quiet, breakfast was good, and I felt safe walking around. There are lots of places to eat and drink nearby, and it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to Trinity college and Temple bar. Stephens green is also a nice place to visit, and transport is close if you’re taking the airport bus. The staff were friendly and helped me use the self check-in machine. The bed was comfortable, even though it sits at a funny angle to the TV. The shower door covers only half the opening, but surprisingly the floor didn’t get wet. The safe wasn’t bolted down.

We slept incredibly well in these comfortable, clean rooms, which felt thoughtfully laid out despite being on the small side, almost like a cosy college studio apartment. Breakfast was delicious, and I appreciated the gluten-free options. The lobby was welcoming too, with comfortable places to read, work on a laptop, or relax after exploring. The central location made it easy to walk to Grafton Street and enjoy all the shops, restaurants, and lively city right outside. The staff added a lot to our stay, especially Leah, whose warm, kind service was wonderful. Complimentary water was a thoughtful touch. It was Mother’s Day during our visit, and we had fun using the self-serve photo booth kiosk. It gave all of us a special memory from the trip. If you’re after a cosy place in a great central spot and don’t mind a smaller room, this is a lovely way to experience Dublin.

I can’t thank the reception staff enough, especially Lisa. She was friendly, helpful, and went out of her way for us. She’s a real asset to the hotel. We stayed one night, and the room was fantastic. Breakfast was outstanding too. We can’t wait to visit Dublin again, and would gladly stay here and recommend it to anyone.

The service is good and the location’s great, but I’ve stopped staying here because I can’t sleep comfortably. On my last couple of visits, the air conditioning seemed restricted, especially at night. It kept switching itself off, so I’d wake up several times, sweating, and have to get up to restart it. I assume it may be an environmental policy, but these compact boutique rooms don’t have much airspace, and there’s no way to open a window for fresh air. I kept waking up tired and unrested. It’s a shame, as this used to be a great place and my usual choice when I came to town to see family.
