The Times Hostel - College Street

I had a good five days here. My room was 17, right at the top of the building, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The included breakfast was nice, too. It’s a quieter area away from Temple Bar, but only about a five-minute walk to get there. The building is fun and a bit confusing to navigate. There’s no lift, which was fine with me.

The staff were so nice and ready to help with whatever I needed. Rooms were clean and good, and the shared bathrooms worked fine and still gave you some privacy. You may hear street noise on weekend nights, since it’s so close to Temple Bar. The prices are good for a short stay and feel worth it. I’d definitely recommend it.

The room was clean and roomy, but the window wouldn’t close and a few flies got in. The bathroom in my six-bed women’s dorm was fresh and newly renovated. It’s a bit maze-like inside, and the hallways and stairs could use some care, though I didn’t actually get lost. The location is great and the staff were friendly. I skipped breakfast, but I’d stay again.

It was nearly silent at night, which made this one of my best hostel stays. The rooms were just right, with private bathrooms and space to keep toiletries. The kitchen is huge and has leather couches and Netflix. The setting and location couldn’t have been better.
