I’d happily stay here again when I’m next in Dublin. Roberta at the front desk was especially attentive, and the doorman was always ready to help. It’s family owned, the central location made it easy to explore both sides of the river, and there are loads of places to eat nearby, including one restaurant in the same building and two across the street. The nightly price worked for my budget. I first had a large family room on the fifth floor in the older section, then later moved to a smaller room in the renovated section. The older part was quieter. My newer room had a street-facing window and you could hear the trams going by every few minutes. I liked looking out at the street and didn’t mind the noise, but light sleepers should ask for a room away from it.

The dining room for breakfast has an elegant, old-world feel, and the meal was a great mix of made-to-order dishes and cold continental food. There were scrambled eggs with salmon, a traditional Irish breakfast, and a vegetarian choice with sliced avocado and a tasty sun-dried tomato spread on homemade toast. Scones and muffins were always out, along with cereal and fresh fruit. The rooms feel a little dated, but they’re classic, well kept, and very clean. All the staff were extremely friendly. Our bathroom was large and modern, though there was no shelf or space at all for toiletries, as others have mentioned. There was a mini fridge and tea and coffee in the room. The location is perfect for walking to Dublin’s main sights.

I didn’t stay overnight, but I ate in the bar before a performance at Abbey Theatre. The hotel has plenty of character, and I even met a lovely woman who worked there from 1958-1966. She and the hotel both feel like examples of sustainability and reserve. I had a juicy steak with potatoes and vegetables at a very reasonable price, followed by delicious apple and rhubarb crumble. The staff were busy but still very attentive and friendly. Top marks all round.

The location is very central, with excellent transport links, and the breakfast was superb. I stayed for two nights in October 2025 and had a really good time. My third-floor room was quiet, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The decor felt cosy and traditional without looking dated. The bathroom was large and spotless, with a powerful shower. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended for a Dublin visit.

Our bicycle tours have started from Wynn’s hotel since 2018, and we’re very happy with the service. It’s in an excellent central Dublin location, the historic building has recently renovated bathrooms, and the staff are always kind and professional, even with the unusual requests from our larger group. We have no plans to change this arrangement and will return as soon as we can. Thank you. TDA Global Cycling Ltd. Serpentin Tours Ltd.
