Windsor Lodge

The room was much bigger than I expected, bright and airy, with beautiful windows looking out toward the water and a small sitting area. Mary was lovely to deal with. The Dart station is just a couple of minutes away, and there's a bus stop nearby too. The beach is very close. We were really pleased and would stay again.

The pier and beach were practically on the doorstep, while the place stayed nice and quiet at night since it isn't in town. Still, nothing is more than a 10-minute walk away. The room was clean and tidy, the bed comfortable, and the shower has its own heater so there's always hot water. Breakfast was continental and satisfactory. Mary, the host, was lovely and kind. She checked we were okay, shared local tips and directions, and made sure we had everything we needed. A brilliant stay, especially for the bargain price.

The owner is really friendly and helpful, and the location is fantastic. The seafront and nearby beach are only a 30-second walk away, the nearest Dart station is at the far end of the road, and Dunlaoghaire harbour is a five-minute stroll. My clean room had an en suite shower, comfortable bed, TV, and tea and coffee. Breakfast was full English, with fruit, cereal, and bread or toast as well. This was my second stay, and I definitely plan to return.

The hosts were welcoming and excellent, and the room was beautiful with a view of the beach area. Breakfast was fabulous. The village shops and restaurants are handy, and there is off-street parking. The train station is a very easy five-minute walk, and there is a nearby bus that regularly goes to the airport.
