Cairbre House

We had a very pleasant week at Cairbre House, with plenty to see and do nearby: coastal walks, hiking or driving in the Comeraghs, Clonea Strand, country houses and gardens, and cycling the Greenway to Dungarvan and nearby towns. The house sits by the estuary in a lovely spot for birdwatching, with easy access to town and the Greenway. It’s a historic place with beautiful gardens and a spacious, comfortable interior. Brian was very helpful and let us store our bikes in his garage. We can recommend staying here without reservation.

Breakfast was the best I had on my trip in Ireland, with fresh herbs and vegetables from the greenhouse and gardens. Cairbre House is a historic home with lovely gardens and a view of the River. Its location was perfect for our family, within walking distance of a nice playground and downtown. The host and hostess were friendly, and I highly recommend this B&B.

We stayed at caribre house for two weeks. It’s a beautiful, spacious house, and every bedroom had its own en-suite. The garden overlooks the river and is lovely for kids. Brian is a wonderful gentleman, always around when we needed him. We’d definitely go again.

We had a fabulous weekend at Cairbre house with my family. It’s now self catering, with all the equipment you need in abundance and in perfect working order. The house was clean, comfortable and beautiful, and Brian was pleasant and accommodating, ready to help if needed. It’s quiet but very central, just a 10-minute walk to town. I’d certainly recommend it as a perfect retreat and will visit again. Thank you.
