The whole place feels relaxed, and the scenery is stunning. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited, and the hospitality from Mike and Jules made our two days there feel special. I came with friends, our dogs, and our fantastic trainer Catherine from Snoutandabout. The dogs had two enclosed areas to run around and play. There’s outdoor seating, a fire pit, and a BYOB bar where we chatted in the evening. Our rooms were spotless and full of character. Mike and Jules cooked everything themselves, from breakfast through dinner, and the food was delicious. Vegans and a coeliac in our group were all delighted with what they were served. Such warmth, it really is good for the soul.

Julia had great suggestions for exploring nearby, and we ended up enjoying beaches and dog friendly bars and restaurants despite the bad weather. There’s so much to see around the lodge that our two nights didn’t feel like enough. The setting is naturally beautiful, and the location is brilliant. Our Seefin Suite was beautifully prepared, with a welcome gift for our Golden Retriever. She also had an enclosed patio and garden, plus dog bowls and a towel. We felt at home in the lovely guest sitting room. Mike and Julia welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice. We also had dinner there, and Mike’s cooking was just as good. Mike and Julia made the dining room cosy and warm, then lit a fire for us after the meal. We’d definitely return and recommend this guest house, especially to anyone hoping to make lovely memories with their dog.

My dog Oscar and I had a fantastic stay. There’s lots to see and do nearby, and the food was amazing. Mike and Julie were lovely hosts. Definitely recommend.

The animals were the best part for me. We watched Mike train the dogs, fed the goose, and saw the free range chickens and birds. The views from the B&B were fantastic, too. Mike and Julia made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, and the location worked really well for exploring West Cork's landmarks.
