The room was well supplied, the bed was comfortable, and the receptionist was incredibly friendly. She drew me a map for the town centre and suggested places to go. It was only about a ten minute walk, and the location was great. The restaurant looked nice, though I didn't eat there. For the price, it's a good hotel. A few things brought my rating down a star. Parking was rough, and with no spaces left I ended up in front of a fire exit after the woman at the desk told me to park there. The lift and men's lobby bathroom weren't working, and the shower curtain looked like it had a little mold. None of those things were major on their own.

The staff made my stay really enjoyable. They were lovely and helpful, and the customer service was excellent. The receptionist was welcoming and checked me in right away. Rooms are tastefully decorated, with very comfortable beds, and both the breakfast and other food were delicious. There isn't a swimming pool or spa, for example, but you're very close to other amenities. I was very happy with the experience and would recommend it in a heartbeat.

The team were amazing, a ten out of ten. Breakfast was good too, but the rooms let the place down and didn't feel like a three star hotel. The shower had been fixed with tape, the king bed was two singles pushed together, and the coffee machine was broken while we were there.

Ennis is a fab town, but I'd pick somewhere else to stay. We were shocked by how dated the room was, and I've stayed in cheap hostels that were better. The curtains were filthy, the room smelled disgusting, and the whole interior felt very old. From the start, there were three of us talking as we came in, and we were told to be quiet and leave reception. The older man was on his phone and had no mask on, but that doesn't excuse being rude. To be fair, the guy at reception was very nice. Later, we were chatting in our room without even having the TV on when the night porter knocked and told us to be quiet. We're women in our fifties and sixties, not teenagers, and we were on a break. I think the hotel might be used by homeless people, though I'm not completely sure. I don't mind that, but I think a place we pay to stay should be either a hotel or a hotel for homeless people, not both.

Tom the owner was a gent, and chef Anna made us a gorgeous homemade meal on Saturday night. Breakfast the next morning was fresh and plentiful, and the old style teapots were a lovely touch for guests making their own tea. The food, staff and customer service were all 100%. They couldn't do enough for our group of 11 women. Poor Ray the night porter had a lot to contend with when we got back at 12:30am looking for a drink, but he happily obliged us. We'd highly recommend staying in Ennis and will be back. Well done to management and all the staff!
