Victoria Hotel

The staff were amazing, and our room was clean and roomy enough for two girls with extra-large suitcases. We also really enjoyed the food, from breakfast to the bar menu. It’s a cute hotel in a great area, easy to reach from the bus station and handy for bars, shopping and sightseeing. I’ll stay here next time I’m in Galway.

We’d happily stay again. The rooms were great, and the hotel has lovely amenities, including a bar right inside. Each morning we had our trifecta: cappuccino, prosecco and Coke Zero. It’s just around the block from the train station and bus drop-off, with tour pickups for the cliffs and Aran islands right up the street.

I had a wonderful stay and slept really well. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with high-quality bedding and everything you could need. The food and drinks were high quality too, and the price was very reasonable. Despite the prime location there was no street noise. Every staff member was warm and welcoming, and they’ll go above and beyond for guests. A lovely gem for families, couples or friends. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve stayed here twice over the years, and it’s my usual choice in Galway. Their word for it, “straightforward,” feels right. The decor is a little dated, but it has what you need for a comfortable, central stay. There’s parking in a nearby garage, about a two-minute walk away, and getting in and out is easy, with a guard on duty.
